Rough draft essay:
The story Young Goodman Brown takes place in a new society in the New World in Salem Village also known as the village that had the Salem Witch Trials. This story, you could say, was mostly based off of religion that I would say were the Puritans. Throughout the story they show many symbolic meanings that are sometimes hard to identify. This journey is intended for what I say self spiritual examination.
This journey takes place of Young Goodman Brown taking a journey with the devil or in reality was it all a dream? He goes walking through a forest until he encounter an old man who in reality was an old man who looked exactly like Young Goodman Brown except older.
